Lo3 P3 Take photos / videos of me taking photographs

P3

In this video I have shown how I have used the camera settings to take specific images and show what happens. The video goes over how I manipulated the aperture, shutter speed and file type off the camera, so that I could get the most perfect shot.

I plan on shooting a night shot that includes motion. To execute this style I would need to control my shutter speed and utilise a tripod to achieve a very steady shot. Setting my shutter speed to ten seconds meant that the picture would take ten seconds to capture all of the image. This meant that it the camera would capture all of the motion and light in the image, allowing it to create a very beautiful image that shows the motion of cars on a motorway.

In this photo of me with the camera I was decreasing the aperture so that I could achieve a blurry background in the images. Doing this would allow me to capture a depth of field within the image and would make the object in the foreground pop out from the background. I could also do the opposite, and increase the aperture, allowing me to obtain a very sharp image that incorporated a large amount of detail. I will use this technique when shooting landscape images as it will allow me to capture a lot if detail in the background.

In this image you can see how I rated each image in Lightroom based of how I think it fits with the Topic of 'Beautiful Doncaster' and how good each shot was taken. The images that I liked will be edited in Lightroom.

This image below was taken at the Doncaster train station near Frenchgate. I like this image because it makes Doncaster look large and open. However, It needed to be edited as some areas in the photo were too dark and didn't look good in the image overall.

Seen below is the contact sheets that includes all 70 unedited images that I took, over my time in this unit. I am very happy at how I have improved as a photographer, and how I have utilised different skills such as gold ration, rule of three, and flowing lines which all helped my photos become more interesting and beautiful.
